I love the idea of this exuberantly shiny piece, the Yves Saint Laurent Uptown Patent Bag. It’s got a sleek shape that’s completely sensible and work-appropriate, yet it’s still chic enough to tote around after hours. The color, a luscious wine shade, is sexy and vibrant, and the leather is so glassy it could probably double for a mirror in a pinch. So what’s the problem? It needs a little something extra to up the oomph factor. It’s gorgeous, but a little hardware - something in addition to the silver-tone lock closure - might just do the trick.
