Metallics and linen? Not exactly a match made in handbag heaven. Rafe has the right idea with the Bosworth Metallic Linen Bag, but the execution is just off the mark. The pearlized natural linen is surprisingly elegant, a contrast to forceful leathers and brazen wildlife prints, but the silver metallic trim really throws things off track. It’s not so much the color - although a different shade would definitely have been more appropriate - as it is the gleaming leather, which doesn’t suit the organic, down-to-earth linen well at all. Otherwise, the handbag’s shape is practically perfect. Available on sale for $230 at Active Endeavors.
