It’s amazing what the addition of a stripe will do to a bag. The new Coach Hamptons Stripe Medium Purse is classic Coach all the way, from the signature print to the stylish satchel shape to the smart leather accents. But the stripe in the center is a confusing element that takes away completely from the bag’s otherwise smart, sensible vibe. The chestnut stripe works (sort of), but this bordeaux accent transforms the purse into something pretty unappealing. It’s worth noting, though, that the brown leather on this handbag is gorgeous. Available for $358 at Coach.

Another lovely bag from Coach. I wish that I could trust them, but I can't. It's too bad because I'm missing out on some great designs, but oh well. Everyone's got to take at least one stand in life, right?
