A little bit of daring goes a long way in allowing a bag to transition from classic to trendy.
Burberry’s Quilted Leather Shoulder Bag is a perfect example. Pairing edgy golden chain handles with supple quilted leather, the bag veers into motorcycle-chic territory without going overboard. In other words, it’s still country club-appropriate, due in part to its elegant, elongated, slightly rounded shape (the tan version resembles a pineapple from a distance). The top cinches closed with the simple pull of a drawstring, and small golden studs decorate the bag’s bottom corners.
