Even the addition of a prim and proper frame can’t bring this
Bottega Veneta handbag to life for me. While I’m usually a Bottega devotee like no other, I can’t be convinced that the
Multicolor Python Frame Purse is a great idea. The interesting eggplant/bronze color blend is definitely memorable, and the gunmetal hardware is a nod to fall’s gray obsession. That’s where the greatness ends, though.
Bottega Veneta is famous for its beautiful woven leather, but here their painstaking care goes to waste - the effect of woven snakeskin somehow just isn’t the same, and the result is something more akin to patches of color stitched together. It pains me to say all of this, of course, but I suspect
Bottega Veneta will be back to fine form in no time.
