A few years ago, Botkier caused some serious mania with their now-classic Trigger bag. It was a predictable reaction to an accessory that combined originality, functionality and beauty all at once. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the Botkiers Sophie Satchel. It’s original, all right, but that’s no testament to its greatness; the design is cumbersome and bulky-looking. Five exterior pockets are a bit too much here, but they’re a dream for people who just love functionality above all else. The interior also features three pockets, which is really more than enough for most people. They get points for the lovely shade of honey, but otherwise, this gets a big no from me. I had to come check out this bag because of the name, Sophie is the best name!

Anyway, wish the shape was just a little different, but I still like it. First for its color, how gorgeous, and second because of the huge handles. I hate small ones and these are great.
