Much as I enjoy seeing what Kate Spade will come up with next, I feel more and more disillusioned lately by the brand’s latest offerings. Up next is the rather pompous-sounding Melrose Noel Jaydn (Jaydn?! What’s the story there?), inspired by the glamour of Melrose Ave. - that includes in-your-face paparazzo and bratty celebutantes, naturally. Available in silver, orange and pink, this purse’s cheap look isn’t helped by its boarskin-embossed silver trim. Factor in that it doesn’t have a zipper and it somehow seems highly impractical, except perhaps for a day at the beach. In which case I would carry something much cheaper than $375.
