Wristlets make for messy meals

The wristlet fad is probably one of the more unexpected to hit the handbag market. I personally find it a little awkward when it comes to real life. I like the idea, the concept is stellar but I would simply not feel comfortable actually wearing this clutch.
I mean think about it, you are out on the town with this little purse swinging in the wind? Don’t you think that would look odd? Are you supposed to still clutch it? If so then what is the point of having it attached to you? Or maybe it was designed for those who live in downtown LA or someplace where muggers are always looking for an unsuspecting woman in heels to rob?
Don’t get me wrong, this Gucci one is particularly attractive. I love all the fold hardware and the mesh looking little bracelet part, it is really pretty but talk about ball and chain. How do you eat dinner? Cut your meat? Won’t the purse get all covered in gravy or something?
I dunno, I think this is a weird little invention that probably should stay or should have stayed on the runways, don’t you?
