Default Coach Hamptons Leather Flap Tote

Coach Hamptons Leather Flap Tote

Smart, professional, a wee bit Birkin-esque, this Coach Hamptons Leather Flap Totebag has people talking already thanks to its similarities with the Most Coveted Bag in the World. Of course, this will never reach that status, but standing alone without any comparisons made, it’s a structured style that will easily suit anyone who’s searching for an appropriate work bag . The colors - gray and black - are on the bland side, and the hardware is minimal. Given that its relatively embellishment-free, it’s hard not to make a few comparisons. In that case, this falls drastically short. I think I might like it with some color, but these neutrals lend it such a spiritless air. Available for $498 at Coach.

Talking Classic, reminds me of my Mom

Just received the Hamptons Flap today in black. First of all it's massive! My new motto is "Go big or go home". I've never used large handbags, but this is a keeper. I do love, love, love the Birkin bag but in all (well most) of the celebrity photos I've seen, Julia Roberts, Lindsay Lohan etc. the lock is open or missing and the straps that hold the lock in place are hanging down. Looks a little sloppy. It seems like too much trouble to close the bag properly each time. With this Hampton it give the appearance of a locking flap but the flap just slides in behind the lock without undoing the lock each time, much easier. Lining was a surprise pink, but I'll roll with it.

Default Thanks

Thanks, Barb. Enjoying the "new bag smell" and eyeing up a new brown one! I stick with the classics, but do love the colors (berry, teal, bronze and metallics) I just don't think I'd get the use out of them, Coach all the way for me.
