Christian Dior’s Autumn Winter 2008 Collection Show in Paris was attended by Lucy Liu, decked out in head to toe Dior. She wore stark white: a body conscious skirt suit and a fabulous white frame bag: the Dior Samourai 1947. This handbag comes in several incarnation, each one more intricate than the next. This one is rendered in white leather and suede, with a pleated design to add depth. The hardware is done in modern but classic tortoiseshell, a warm counter-balance for the coolness of the white. The design channels a vibe that is both prim and strong, reminiscent of Jackie O’s and Audrey Hepburn’s style –certainly fitting for Ms. Liu as well as her Cashmere Mafia character, Mia.
