ASOS.com has exclusively launched
Mischa Barton’s brand spanking new
purse line online. In an interview with the starlet/budding designer, Barton says she looked to vintage rock goddesses/groupies like Anita Pallenberg and Marianne Faithfull for inspiration, and sure enough, SOME of the
purses do have a ’60s/’70s boho thing going on (think braided and embossed leather and gold floral cut-out hardware). But the other half of the line is schizophrenically modern and trendy, with Valentino-esque bows and lots of ruching. Unfortunately, none of them would ever entice me into opening up my wallet, and considering that the cheapest of the bunch is a mere $43.26, that’s saying something. Maybe celebs should just stick to, you know, being celebs?
