Speed Dating

Has anyone ever tried speed dating? My friend is trying to convince me it'll be fun to go along to an event - if only for a laugh, but I'm not sure.

I've heard some horror stories about speed dating - that it was embarassing, that the guys were creeps etc. so I'm a little apprehensive.

But then on the other hand I'm always seeing magazine articles saying how it's the new 'thing' to do for a good night out.

I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with speed dating and how it went?

Never heard of it but it's not for me. I like one guy one night. I have to really get to know him not a lot of guys in one night. But if you're doing it for fun.... I take that back. I'm much to shy to do it.

Hah, well in the end we didn't go. My friend had a work commitment and so the night out was cancelled. I reckon she'll try and convince me to go another time though!

I just know that I could never give a true impression of myself under those conditions. I would be shy and nervous and would likely make an ass of myself. Not for me I'm afraid!

I've never done it before but if you want to try it, just try it for fun...maybe you'll end up liking it. If you don't like it then you never have to do it again.

i guess i'm one of the conservative ones...i only go out with people i have known for some time...whom i can trust. i can't imagine myself doing those kinds of stuff...

for me i dont like speed dating, because if you are looking for a partner or a relationship you dont get a parson that you meet in a speed dating, because you dont get that quality guy or girl that you are looking for all that you will get is just a desperate or a short time relationship that could last for a very short period of time.
