31 years and still counting!

Hello,
keep
I've been married for 31 years this month! To the love of my life -my one and only. My advice is take your time and keep your standards high if you're not yet married and are still looking. Then, commitment, commitment,commitment. You must be committed because you WILL have bad times and can't expect feelings alone to see you through!!

31 years. congratulations! Marriages like that are few and far between. It's really a shame.

Thank you guys! My husband and I are fighting a battle right now - against stage IV cancer. His cancer has gone into his lungs. However, he is stable right now and we are praying that God will allow him to see his kids grow up. Our youngest is 3.

we'll all be thinking happy thoughts for you and your husband. I hope he makes a full recovery and can live another 30+ years of wedded bliss.

Thank you. We'll be traveling to the Cancer Treastment Center of America in Illinois real soon. The doctors here don't have anything else for him.

That's encouraging to hear! Since I haven't replied to this thread for awhile, I thought I'd let people know that my husband is doing really well.

I researched a lot of alternative treatments for cancer and he has been following a treatment plan based on that. His cancer has stopped spreading and he feels great! He's also started on a pill form of anti cancer drug that the Cancer Treatment center prescribed for him.

I have every hope that he will continue to do well. I believe that God is working in his life and knows that I need him here (as well as our 10 children)!

Congratulations and I'm glad your husband is doing well! You are right - marriage is a lot of hard work! Too many people dive into marriage much too quickly!

i been away for sometime but i just read your response and i want to say thank you for giving me hope and courage to live my life to the fullest and spend most of my time to my family and wife you really inspire me to be the best husband that i can be and do everything i can to make our marriage last. your story have become my inspiration to do everything for my wife and my family and for that i thank you so much.
