i like the "ones that got away" stories because it inspires me not to lose a moment and gives the courage to be true to your feelings

I don't like heartbreak stories, too, because I'm a romantic and I've always been yay close to being a hardcore cynic

That is true. I will share mine. I was in a relationship with this guy for about a year. I was really in love with him and I thought he loved me. We talked about moving in together, marriage, children everything. I was even considering moving in. However, there were many things that I still questioned about our relationship. One of them being why I wasn't allowed in his house by myself and why I wasn't allowed to stop by without calling. Well one night I found out why. I went over there without calling him to surprise him and to see what was going on. Oh I found out alright. He was seeing someone else. The girl is the one that answered the door.

Well, my first heartbreak was when I was in senior high school. The main reason, and for almost all reasons, I think, is due to a third party!!!!!! This reason is very very overused but sad to know it's so true. I won't go very much into detail. I just learned of my boyfrined (back in HS) that he was dating someone else and even doing "it" with her in the presence of some other friends of mine, etc. etc. The friends were also my classmates and the third party also belonged to the same class. This thing that happened really had been an "item", to the point that my teachers are asking me about things etc. Yes, the teachers were very good gossippers! lol!
Time passed by and of course I moved on.

Yeah I think he did regret coz there was this one time he was asking me out and "stuff" again. Too bad I was really in love with someone else at that time. Felt really bad for him to try and do that knowing that my boyfriend at that time was one of his close friends. Yaikks! Hope he has moved on.
And to all those who were cheated, for sure you'll be able to move on and find someone even better.

well, its a good thing you had moved on. even if he is trying to get back together, i don't think you should forgive him for what he did
