Luxe For Less: Celebrate the red, white & blue!

Independence Day is this Friday so this installment of Luxe for Less is all about the red, white and blue.

First, the red. This Miu Miu Pocket-front Tote:

This bag is so casual and weathered looking, I can see it dangling from the arms of Kate ‘I just rolled out of bed but I’m still infinitely cooler than you’ Moss. It’s rendered in calfskin, and faded along the edges to give it that coveted lived-in feel. It brings new meaning to the phrase ‘faded glory’ (yes, I couldn’t refrain from throwing that in there). The shape is basic and unpretentious and the bag comes with two handle options: tote or shoulder strap. Originally almost $1,600, it’s on offer through Overstock.com for $999.99, but hunt around online for a coupon code to bring the price even lower.

Then, the white. This Creased White Patent Fendi Baguette:

Yes, a whole decade after Carrie Bradshaw and crew put Fendi baguettes on the map, the design is still relevant. Done over in a fresh, stark white with a creased patent leather and tonal stitch detailing, this baguette looks fresh and hip. It was also shrunk to a petite 7 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and given an extra long shoulder strap — a little something unexpected and quirky, as we’ve come to expect from the house of Fendi. It retailed for $710, but BlueFly has it on tap for just $568.

And the blue. This Stuart Weitzman Cobalt Blue Clutch:

One of my favorite colors, this cobalt blue looks great against anything, but especially chic against light gray, white and black. This pleated clutch is done in a nappa leather (oh so soft!) with a slight metallic sheen, making it a great evening bag. And just in case you need the extra sparkle (to match the sparkle in your eyes, of course!), Stuart Weitzman trimmed the lip of this fab clutch with rectangular stone detailing. Retail is $398, but Bluefly slashed it by 40% to offer it at $239!
