I know many of you already shop or want to shop online at places like eBay but are concerned with the possibility of receiving a fake handbag. This thread is for posting pictures of handbags or links to auctions. I will help you authenticate your bags. I do not, of course, represent that my opinions are official in any way, but I've had experience authenticating bags for a while and know my way around most of the larger brands, and will give you my honest opinion on which bags are authentic and which are not, in order to help you with your purchasing decision.

I also welcome any other members' feedback.

I have been dying to get my hands on a Gerard Darel bag for months now. ShopRumor has a very limited selection. Now, I found this place bagshop.com. (Sorry, I cannot include the direct link in my post, bc I am too new of a member) It is not listing the bag by the correct style name and I am unsure if the color is even correct since there is such a limitied color view featured on the Gerard Darel website. Please help! What questions should I ask?

Hey kids, while I am no expert, I will state the obvious: check the seller's user rating. Anything below 90 percent satisfied customers and I would stay away. And if the color isn't matching the description, it COULD be your screen as some browsers and screens aren't calibrated correctly, so keep that in mind.

So i bought the bag. i am not sure what to think. The bag is brown and the lining is brown cotton. I thought I had read that GD bags are black inside. Also, I find it strange that his name is nowhere except on one of the "pull tassels" for a zipper pocket. I bought the 24 hours satch with zip pocket. Is there some type of number I should be looking for? Anything else to authenticate?
