Stress
How do you deal with stress? I have been incredibly stressed out with work lately and just haven't been able to concentrate, sleep - nothing.
Any tips?

Exercise... or take some time out for yourself to do something you really enjoy.

I go to the mall and watch movies, at least 2 movies one after the other. Or I go to a hotel and just relaxxx my butt off.

Good answer. I had some fun over the weekend and that helped. Maybe I just need to get out more.

I have a great relaxation CD I put on my iPod. It never fails to relax me when I'm super-stressed.

Weirdly enough, house music relaxes me.
But seriously, girl, whatever's stressing you, just ball it up and let it go. The best way to deal with stress is to not feel it at all

I get really stressed sometimes and it is horrible so I know what you are going through! I tend to read or watch a film as this takes my mind of the problem - if I am at work though I tend to go for a walk or shopping!!

When I am stress I will go into the bathroom, lock the door and sit in the tub for a very long time reading a book. this usually works for me. As well walking does the trick sometimes.

Chocolate stresses me more because, one, I'm not a fan of chocolates (lucky!) two, I'm predisposed to diabetes (not lucky.) and three, how can something that makes me fat unstress me? LOL!

I'm the stress queen - I can so relate to the not sleeping thing. I try to just stay focused on something in the moment instead of worrying about things out of my control (SO hard to do). For me, there's nothing better than a pampering session: hot shower, slathered on lotion, hot tea or coffee, biscotti, a stack of fashion mags or a book. Just something that's mindless. It puts me at ease - even if it's just temporary, at least I'm breathing easy for a little while.

I sometimes look at my family or boyfriend or friend's pictures, especially their pictures when they were kids. I also listen to classical music. Or eat chocolates. lol!

Taking a hot bubble bath with a glass of wine and a good book or magazine always does it for me. Or going shopping for something indulgent that I don't really need, like a new bra/panty set, perfume, etc.

A Bike ride or a long walk, helps you put things in perspective.

I wrote a post in my blog called "Stressed Out" and I wrote about somethings you can do to relieve stress. If you would like to read it go to my blog in my signature and in the search feature type in Stressed Out it should come up.

If the stress is keeping you up at night because you're worrying about things that need done, then keep a notepad by your bed.
Whenever you are worried about something, write it down and forget about it. It's a tip I picked up a few years ago, and once you get used to the fact that it's written down and will be there in the morning, it really does help you forget and relax enough to sleep.
