Default STD's

How many strains do we have now. I think in the 50's there were only a handful then in the 70's there were something like 50. Now we have yet to count and find a cure for some. And they cause cancer now as well.

Here's my statment: You hand your child birthcontrol or condoms just in case they decide to have sex but would you hand your child a clean needle just in case they decide to shoot drugs? You do want to protect them from AIDS, right?

What's the difference?

Sex is a basic biological human need. (Virtually) everyone has sex. The number of teen pregnancies and abortions speaks for itself.

Giving your child the resources to protect themselves from disease and unwanted pregnancy is practical. Teens have sex. Ignoring that fact is not going to make the "problem" go away.

However, injecting drugs is not a basic human need. If your child is injecting drugs they need treatment and education -- not fresh needles.

What if your child comes home with aids from a first time sex experience due to a basic need?

STDs have always existed, and HPV has always caused cancer. In fact the majority of cancers CAN be triggered by certain viruses.

All that has changed is that we now have the technology to screen for these diseases. AIDs is new yes, but there were always way more than 'a handful'.

As to avoiding the diseases I think that education is the most important thing there is.

I don't believe sex is a basic human need..I belive it is a basic human "desire." There's a huge difference between want and need. And not all teenagers are going to have sex. We talk openly and honestly about what could happen, and that if they are frustrated, there is always masturbation.

Hi Everyone,

I just signed up here and I look forward to this open and valuble information.

I am personally hoping for a nice Coach handbag for Christmas. My husband is kind of frugal and I don't know if he'll get it for me but compared to the money he spends on his ski boat he had better

Thnaks for letting me in !!

I think they call that a tower. No we have a ski boat with an engine cover in the middle of the boat that we have found uses for if you know what I mean. I think ours is a Mustercraft

I think my hubby is getting me one of those cool solar powered lawn mowers, I love to do yard work. One thing does concern though he is such a "green Guy" it makes him look feminine to me sometimes.

OH I could never go out in a ski boat. I would be too afraid of getting hit by one of those crazy jet boat things that look like a water motorcycle.

it's not as dangeous as you might think. My husband can ski 6 balls off at 22 feet or something like that. I don't know exactly.
he just looks so sexy skiing behind the boat. Often times I can't contain myself.

Default STD scare???

Is someone playing a trick on me again?? A freind of mine told me that some STD's could be transmitted by contact with peanut butter.....if an infected person used the same jar. ????

is this true or is someone taking advantage of my being naive at times??
