Default Getting older

I'm 40 now and I feel myself slowing down. I like it but my kids are still young. I don't want to sit around all day and watch tv. How do you get your energy after 40?

Im 33 and am getting more and more grays, and well, a couple of extra pounds too.
I went on a job interview today and everyone there had to be under 23, I felt SO out of place. It was awkward and when it was over I was like
so I know I didnt get the job. Oh well.

i used to have no qualms about getting older..but when i turned 23 i became a little insecure of the younger women..but then when i turned 25 i slowly accepted that ageing is a good thing...i mean u have to do certain things to take care of ur physical being but mentally, it's a good thing to age...

Being 40 is pretty cool. You pretty much don't have very many hangups anymore. I just feel like I can do what I want and not worry about what other people think. Whith in reason.

I'm 43 and completely agree with you! Aren't the 40s fabulous!!!!! Things do change, you do slow down a bit, I have a young daughter also, and have found I need just a bit more sleep and when we get home, I keep moving, no sitting on the couch or I'm done! Also, eating several small meals each day helps keep your energy level steady. I have low blood sugar and have to eat the small meals and I have found this to be a benefit.

ITA with all the other ladies who are..."out of" their 20s and 30s.

I'll be 45 in June and am loving these years for the emotional and mental freedom I have. Much less of a spazz than I was in my younger years.
