Default Do you keep you money separate?

If you are in a relationship, do you keep your money separate? Who pays the bills? Was this your choice?

It's all OUR money. Paychecks go into the checking account, we share the savings account. I pay the bills, just because I'm an organizational freak and I like doing it.

It's all our money. It all goes into the same accounts..I don't understand separate accounts. I know some women believe in that and that it affords greater independence. I don't know why...if it's builiding a nestegg in case you need it later if the relationship goes bad, when you get a divorce your spouse could get ahold of that money, too. If you are just living with someone, then I see where maybe this would be a good idea.

yes, absolutely keep it seperate. I am wealthy and my young husband would not be without my help. My accounting team pays for my bills and jimmi's allowance weekly

When I was married it was together. he used all our money to buy guitars. and we got divorced. Money was a real big issue for us. My ex husband could not manage money. the trailer payment was always late, and the payment on the bass boat was always on time though. he loved that darn boat, until he found that Dale Earnhardt edition Monte Carlo he just HAD to have. then he sold the boat to get it. whatever, its all history now. I am just glad the two timer is gone from my life.

Oh another thing. keep an eye on your husbands and boyfriends girls. I found out he was spending my money I got from tips bartending gambling and using it at the strip bars. You know how that made me feel?? I worked long hours at the bar putting up with all those drunks so he could go out and waste the money on gambling and prostitutes. I am SO lucky that I didnt catch an STD from him and all his running around he did on me.

I know. I know. I am just glad he is gone. he really made me unhappy. I am so much happier now, even though I am alone.

I think married couples should keep their money together. It is too complicated not to.

I had a simular thing happen to me with my X. Only I caught him buying panties! Wouldn't have been so bad if they had been for me, but they were a size 2! And I wear a 16! Put him on the road after that! I've really tried to loose this weight, but it's really hard, especially when I stay depressed all the time! Sometimes I just think life is too cruel and want to give up.

You are really concerned with the STD's aren't you Aunt Bea? With todays technology, why be so worried? I think you're a little paranoid about it. lighten up baby.
