Default at what age did you get married?

i'm not married yet but i'm curious to know at what age everybody here got married and the age of your husband at the time...this is because i have a friend whose boyfriend is around 17 years older than her, is that right?

Oh, all is fair in love and war ^__^

I'm not really looking forward to getting married 'till I'm in my mid 30's or something. So I'll probably start hunting (?!) for my husband around...like...5 years from now? That should give me a 10-year headstart. '~__^

I got married a few months after my 30th birthday and he was 25. We met when I was 28, he was 23.

Yes, I robbed the cradle!

I got married when I was 21. My husband is 5 years older than I am. We are still going strong and have been together now for almost 7 years.

I don't think age should be a major factor if you are of age (i.e., 18+). If you are in love, you are in love.

17 years wouldn't be a problem for me... Age doesn't matter to me.

I think Im ready for marriage at the age of 28.

I got married very young, at 18. My husband is 3 1/2 years older than me. We are now 24 and 27. I don't think age matters when both are legal adults and love eachother.

but age sometimes matter because some people are already too jaded and cynical to marry a younger person who is immature. but as long as both know what they're doing i guess there's nothing wrong

I was 23 and my husband was 37 and we fit perfectly I think, the only difference for us is that he wants children like now and I'm not ready just yet. We've been married a little over a year.

that is an issue which is really open for discussion for you both...i understand why he wants children already..but i also understand why you don't want children yet....it's all about the age...

I got married 2 weeks before my 33rd birthday, my husband was 38. I don't think age is such a big factor, when love finds you, it finds you!

I would have to say I was an 8 I and I knew he was the one because of the way I felt when I was with him . I was secure in my decision to marry;I felt like God was leading me and I was making the right decision.

Thanks! We were planning to get married when I was 18 but some things came up and wedding plans were just not happening so we got married the following year. We're actually going to be celebrating our 4 year anniversary June 21st and we'll be in the Bahamas for that as we did for our honeymoon. We're staying at the same hotel. I can't wait!!

When I got married I was 20 and my husband was 23. I was so sick of hearing everyone say that you are too young and it is not going to work because of your age, but we are still going strong and we will celebrate our 3 year anniversary next month. I feel as though it really depends on the maturity of the person and how you feel. I think age doesn't matter if you are truly in love with that person.
