I must be getting old if Dakota Fanning of all people is suddenly old enough to own her own Balenciaga. Last time I saw this girl she was wearing princess fairy dresses…now she’s carrying a slick Arena Giant bag around? Well, at least her taste is maturing. Though the handbag looks almost as big as Dakota herself, it’s a smart and stylish choice for any gal - a nice balance of versatility and trendiness. Love the gold hardware. Keep it up, girl.

Whoa, Nelly! Just think of all the stuff you could cram into Heidi Montag’s massive Balenciaga Crocodile Weekender bag. “The Hills” baddie took the handbag out for lunch with hubby Spencer Pratt and his grandma for Mother’s Day - these two never miss a photo opp! Though I love the purse’s bold blue hue and slick croc style (who doesn’t?), it seems a little odd to take out a bag this giant for a casual outing. I’d opt for a more petite version and save this biggie for a trip.

Oscar alert! Charlize Theron caught up with Sean Penn and man-friend Stuart Townsend recently, and brought her chic Balenciaga black leather tote along for the occasion. Though Charlize’s outfit isn’t anything special, I think this look as a whole works well; the Balenciaga adds a touch of designer prestige and luxury but is versatile and low-key enough to not disrupt her casual ensemble. And I love those eye-catching flashes of gold hardware…so hot!

Why so glum, chum? Lauren Conrad should be smiling - the white Balenciaga Motorcycle purse she’s toting (much more Nicole Richie’s speed than our usual Chanel fanatic’s) looks lovely. Unfortunately, I’m not totally feeling the ill-fitting beige dress Lauren’s paired with it. The color just washes her out, and there’s some distracting pleats and bunching going on. But hey, at least she’s got the handbag part mastered.

Amanda’s bag is black with giant gold hardware, which has been discontinued. Balenciaga is only producing regular hardware and silver giant hardware, so if you love the look of gold on your bag, act fast and snatch up what’s left.

Who needs Brenda when you have Balenciaga? The Motorcycle Bag scored a sweet cameo on the set of the new “90210,” getting up close and personal with Kelly Taylor and Donna Martin (aka Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling). The purse looks fabs, the girls look as yummy as a Peach Pit milkshake, and it’s totally a Beverly Hills moment. But can we please get some Dylan up in here, ladies?

A glamorous Balenciaga bag is something few women can say no to. This Carpincho Shopper caught my eye mainly because it’s vastly different from the usual Balenciaga fare. The gorgeous navy leather exudes a suede-like, Euro-chic appearance that could easily make this a perfect choice for an enviable summer excursion to somewhere far, far away. I’m not crazy about the gold studs - their uniform alignment seems like overkill considering there are 10 of them in total.
