I’m not sure if the grid pattern on this Balenciaga Papier Ledger is cute and quirky or cold and boring, but it certainly stands out in a sea of black and brown handbags. Among those who might prefer this bag over the unstructured lines of a hobo are geometry majors, architects, crossword buffs, and Mondrian fans. Wow. It’s been quite a while since I’ve cared about a Balenciaga bag. Maybe years? I honestly can’t even remember the last time I cared about a Balenciaga purse. Blasphemy, I know, but I’ve been over the classic moto bag for years and am not crazy about the label’s habit of staying so consistently faithful to one particular look.
