For the most part, I’m a pretty big Burberry fan. I appreciate their classic look but always adore their more updated styles even more. This Drawstring Bucket Bag is new for spring and has already made quite an impression. With nude-tone heels being such a big thing for the upcoming season, it’s only fitting that a similarly colored bag would enjoy some of the spotlight, too. That’s funny. When I look at this Burberry Large Lowry Canvas Bag I have this sudden craving for potato salad. Maybe it’s because the black, white and gray Haymarket checked canvas print resembles a picnic blanket? I love me some Burberry, but they seem to have taken the check thing a little too far with this gingham-looking number. The brown leather trim also seems like an odd fit - why not black? I can’t begin to think what on earth I would pair this with, which means I’ll just have to sit this picnic out. Available at Net-a-Porter for $1,695.

For the handful of chic, classic designs that Burberry offers, there are one or two that exhibit an edgier quality. This Stud Plate Hobo is one of them, adorned with (shock!) studded leather plates. Without that detail, it’s a basic hobo in an uncomplicated, everyday color. But thanks to the studs, it will turn heads. I’m not personally a big fan - I do like some of Burberry’s bolder bags (like the fierce Warrior), but this doesn’t quite make the cut.
