For starters, the leather sleeve is a rich, forest green color with a polka dot effect made up of small holes. The linen pouch is more than just a bland bag; it’s a spacious and soft carryall that holds your essentials (quite easily, thanks to the leather sleeve’s support) and features a decorative strap, to boot. You can’t really say that colorblocking is back, because it really never leaves completely. The Silvana Handbag, found in the Fendi Spring/Summer 2012 collection, nicely incorporates colorblocking as more of an accent than just a way to stay in fashion. The gunmetal green leather is smooth and only has its stitching in the front to draw you in, but then you peek at the honey leather sides and handle and it’s all good. Amazing but true: the Fendi Pinstripe Satchel may be worth the purchase. At first glance, it looks kind of unobtrusive, bland and, um, invisible. It’s almost like a series of colorful lines are just floating in midair. Obviously not, though – instead, they’re neatly positioned on a stark whitish-gray backdrop imprinted with a faint Fendi logo. It’s definitely more sporty than anything else, so it’s especially perfect to carry throughout spring and summer. Available for $890 at Nordstrom.

There’s just something slightly playful about this otherwise  serious satchel. Fendi has taken a sharp-looking leather bag, tweaked the top a little to give it a little flair, and then added slips of color to make it pop. The Chameleon Duffle Satchel would look just as good with skinny jeans as it would with a fall dress and a pair of hot boots. If you like Fendi bags you may want to pre-order this tote now as the ship date is no later than 12/30/2011 (it could be sooner but why chance it?). If you love Fendi, it’ll be worth the wait. Here comes Fendi, attempting to get some shine on with the Sequin Effect Leather Clutch. Once again I’m struck by what a party pooper that enormous signature logo really is – it always appears so drab, and it has the unfortunate effect of washing out even the most glamorous designs. Though this was never quite the glitziest bag in the world, the logo just tones it down even more and gives it that dull, everyday-bag look. Yawn. Find it for $495 at MyTheresa.

It’s the return of the Crazy Fendi Baguette! Available in all shapes, sizes and designs, the classic Fendi purse can be gorgeous and breathtaking at the best of times. At its worst, though, it looks like this Convertible Baguette. There’s enough fringe to make a cowgirl squeal with glee, but it’s the odd tan netting that really kills it.
