Whoa – looks like somebody’s ready for summer, eh, Alber? I can’t imagine taking this tote anywhere but a sunny beach. While I appreciate the bold sun- and flower-themed design, I think this Lanvin creation might be a tad over the top for me. But should you be smitten, you’ll be happy to note that the slim tote is made of waxed canvas (ie. slick but durable), with bright yellow lining. Now pardon me while I find something less cheerful. Happy, indeed. If anything is guaranteed to put a smile on a woman’s face, it’s a totally gorgeous handbag like the Lanvin Happy Partage. This version throws a shot of bubblegum pink into your mix of neutrals, and despite being bright it’s fine to wear to the office if you need something to perk up your ensembles. It’s as functional as it is elegant, with a deep, roomy interior and a host of helpful extras, like an exterior zippered pocket and a detachable keyring. Available for $1760 at Net-a-Porter.

We’ve seen a lot of Jennifer Aniston lately, but what about her BFF Courteney Cox? CC appears to be laying a little low, making coffee runs and showing off her chic, everyday-perfect Lanvin Hero purse. Cox is a dedicated Lanvin fan, already an owner to their Vintage Kentucky Tote, so it makes sense that she’d fall for this lighter, sexier style. Love the look!

You know how you’re listlessly Windows-shopping online and then suddenly you come across something that makes your mouse freeze and your jaw drop? This Mischen Pleated Sheath Dress did that for me. So pretty yet in an atypical way, this scribbled print and ribbon-belted waist is feminine with fierce possibilities. I’d pair with Lanvin’s Drape PM Ottoman Bag, a romantic frame bag with grosgrain ribbon details that mirror the dress’s sash. Add black patent Mary Jane heels and a shrunken black blazer and you’re in business.

Sometimes I wonder if the heads of elegant and legacy designer Lanvin have a twisted sense of humor… or in this case (pun somewhat intended) they simply dropped the ‘ball’. Is this pouchy and flesh colored handbag really named the “Pise Sac“??? Seriously people, what are you trying to say here? Did the handcrafting Italian sewers giggle as they stitched this bag together? The soft grained leather meticulously chosen to accentuate its silhouette? Maybe I’m just getting ‘testy’ today… Did the merchandisers of this brand anticipate that sophisticated women of the world would flock to pay $2160 for this purse as some kind feminist power statement perhaps? Readers, you be the judge and let me know…

Forget Tina Turner – we do need another Hero. Well, a Lanvin Hero, at least, like the fresh white leather one maybe-pregnant Jennifer Garner is carrying here. Jennifer may tend to favor simple, casual outfits that suit her mommy lifestyle, but she never skimps on style when it comes to purses. The Hero (see brown leather version below), with its modern zipped pockets and leather band running down the center, is a perfect choice, easily ticking both the ‘chic’ and ‘grab and go’ boxes. Bonus points for going with the summer-appropriate white version.

Say cheese! This pic of Heidi Klum and hubby Seal on holiday warms my heart, and not simply because of their lovey-dovey actions or the fact that supermodels looks like regular folks sans makeup. Nope, it’s Heidi’s Lanvin leopard-print Pocket Book that has me feeling the love. Lanvin’s my personal favorite handbag label, and I love this sassy and striking print. So what if it’s impractical? If a stylish mom like Heidi can find room in her wardrobe for it, so can I. (Oh, and props to Seal and his man purse.)
