Talk about brand loyalty. Victoria’s Secret cutie Miranda Kerr - who has been dazzling us lately with a whirlwind of designer handbags and outfits - stepped up her game at the airport with not one, not two, but three pieces of Louis Vuitton goodness. Combined with her black shades and peachy-nude trench (so gorgeous, by the way), she put all of us slobs who roll up in our terry-cloth trackpants and Uggs to shame. I love how she mixes and matches the Louis Vuitton prints, too - it goes, but without being too matchy.

This summer has had several fab new designer handbags worth ogling over, but a few have stood out from the rest of the fray. They’re gorgeous, sure, but being spotted on the arm of a fashionable starlet has certainly helped elevate these bags to “it” status. So which one is right for you? It hasn’t been a good month for Jessica Simpson, what with her breakup with Tony Romo and all. But that’s not going to stop the girl from getting back out there and exorcising (and exercising) some demons at the gym. Normally I’m not a fun of the giant designer purse look at the gym, but I do have a soft spot for Louis Vuitton, so I’ll let this lovely monogram bag slide. Just don’t let it get sweaty, Jess!

So what does luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton have in common with the lunar landing and space?  CEO Daniel Lalonde answered the question last night as he introduced guests of honor Buzz Aldrin and Jim Lovell at the party celebrating the 40^th anniversary of the lunar landing.   National treasures in their own right, the two former astronauts, along with first American woman in space, Sally Ride, star in the Louis Vuitton Journeys campaign.  With a history in creating high quality travel goods, I LOVE that this campaign focuses on the accomplishments and dreams of the human race (rather than just another pretty face).  The science-nerd in me also enjoyed exploring the exhibits of the Rose Center at the American Museum of Natural History.  

This being a fashion event, the party had no shortage of the chic and famous… Gossip Girl’s Jessica Szohr, Miranda Kerr, a glowing, pregnant Adriana Lima and handsome Lance Bass were mingling among the planets.  The fashionistas were carrying the latest bags of the Louis Vuitton collection, Jessica with an embellished clutch, Miranda with the metallic leather purse. 

The evening ended on a sweet note… “Moons” of white chocolate dipped rice krispy balls were served for dessert with champagne topped “Cosmos”.

Mmmmmmmm, something tells me this photo was a wee bit staged. But that’s cool - Khloe Kardashian looks killer in her Audrey-gone-sexy trench, wide-brimmed hat, and Louis Vuitton/Stephen Sprouse pink graffiti handbag. I love the modern twist against her classic outfit…a little bit of ’80s pop mixed with ’50s starlet. Nicely done.

We know he’s got his own William Rast line, but it took this photo of Justin Timberlake pulling his Louis Vuitton luggage (love the gray) to tell us that, yep, JT is a fashionisto. Louis Vuitton seems to be the gateway drug for male celebs and their designer man bags - Kanye West has gotten down with the camo, Usher’s been out with the traditional monogram. Just goes to show that love for Louis knows no gender!

Why carry one designer bag when you can carry two? Jessica Simpson once again brought out her favorite new leaf-adorned Alexander McQueen purse, but must have felt underdressed. The solution? A Louis Vuitton dog-carrier for her pup Daisy, of course! It’s a little OTT, and I’m still not sold on the McQueen, but I do dig Jessica’s pretty blue dress and shorter ‘do. And hey, if I were a dog, I certainly wouldn’t mind traveling in style.

Hold on to your blue taffeta bunny ears, girls - the first photo from Steven Meisel’s shots of the new Madonna/Louis Vuitton campaign, dubbed “Part Deux,” has been released. Here we see a suspiciously youthful Madge sporting more wild headgear (eat your heart out, Aretha) while wearing a divine magenta frock and clutching a Louis Vuitton monogram purse in her (flashback!) fingerless glove-wearing hands. This handbag isn’t radically different from the rest of the LV repertoire, so I’m anxious to see what the other photos showcase. Time goes by, so slowly…

Perez who? Bandmates Fergie and Will.i.am seem to have bounced back from the latest Black Eyed Peas drama just in time to hit the Paris menswear shows. First stop: Louis Vuitton! Fergie showed some major brand loyalty in her midnight blue Louis Vuitton frock cinched with a glam LV belt. But the best part for me is her wicked Louis Vuitton clutch, from the Fall ‘09 collection. Softly quilted deep blue body, black sides, and a bad-ass studded leather belt down the middle - I’m in love!

“Ghost Whisperer” star Jennifer Love Hewitt was flying solo sans new boyfriend Jamie Kennedy, but I doubt she was feeling lonely. How could she with a lovely Louis Vuitton purse on her arm? The pop of monogram lovin’ was just the touch of luxe designer fashion that Love’s casual outfit needed. (On a side note, why is she dressed like that in summer?) Nothing like a little Louis to liven things up!
