Oh, this Posh Turnlock collection is creeping further and further up on me every time I spot something from the batch. Just a few weeks ago I spotted a crazy chic girl on the train in a great red coat and a Posh Turnlock bag (the satchel, I think), and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I went to my closest high end department store to check it out.  The Posh Turnlock Dot Bag is superb in every way, as it’s classic, but in that very modern, MBMJ girl way. Done in black patent leather, the big turnlock is cheeky and cute, but when paired with tailored pieces the bag is all business. Love that about MBMJ bags! Small yet efficient, this Marc by Marc Jacobs Percy Mini Bag is just made for casual summer days. Just call it Stella 2.0. Marc Jacobs’s uber-classic handbag has been interpreted in a fresh way, with a slick of gleaming patent leather making a genuinely bold statement. That’s not due so much to the bag’s style itself (although that is indisputably gorgeous), but to Stella’s overwhelming size. Everyone from privileged students to chic mommies who don’t mind sacrificing comfort for extreme style has indulged in this fab purse. It just holds everything. I’m not quite so sure the patent is for me, because I carry Stella often and am pretty sure a pop of shine isn’t appropriate for every outfit. Certain handbags have a tendency to look much better in person than online. When I first saw the Marc by Marc Jacobs Softy Colorblock Tote, I wasn’t impressed by its overall look. But I happened to come across it at Nordstrom a few days ago and completely changed my tune after playing with it a bit. The cool color combo is called “Fire Multi” and it is, indeed, a vicious, fiery concoction of deep reds mingled together in a trendy colorblock format. The leather is insanely supple and the bag is roomy and practical.
