File this under “things I might want.” I’m not 100% on board with the Anndra Neen Melted Envelope Silver-Tone Shoulder Bag, but I can’t deny I kind of like it, too. It’s interesting in the way something overly glitzy catches your eye, and it’s the kind of thing you’d break out for a themed party – maybe something seventies, something disco, something a little OTT. I can’t see this becoming a part of my day-to-day, but maybe you wilder women can make it work. Available for $745 at Net-a-Porter.

Talk about redefining a classic. I’ve never been especially fond of the saddle bag silhouette – it’s not very practical or feminine, and that’s really evident with a glance at the El Vaquero Leather Saddle Bag. It’s the kind of bag only a truly country gal could love, and even then I’m not sure it would be a big hit. Why would you want to carry a massive cow-print bag, EVER? I’ve always waxed philosophical about the pros and cons of buying overpriced backpacks. It seems like the most meaningless indulgence of all, mainly because backpacks hold no value to me as an adult. Yet there are women out there who collect them and covet them, so for them the Moschino Quilted Nylon Backpack may actually make a lot of sense. No doubt, there is someone out there in this world who will appreciate the Christopher Kane Embroidered Velvet Backpack. I never thought I’d see a purse inspired by the classic doctor bag and St. Petersburg’s Church of the Resurrection, but I’m not complaining.
