Not only is Halle Berry mama to the cutest little baby girl ever, but she also has fabulous taste in designer handbags. The stunning Oscar winner looked lovely in her white and yellow sundress (Labor Day, Schmabor Day) and her beige Bulgari handbag. The purse looks high-end (and it is) but is versatile enough for everyday wear. Lookin’ good, girl.

Well, color me jealous. Alleged hubby-stealer LeAnn Rimes looked as though she didn’t have a care in the world as she rode the escalator with her pink Goyard tote in tow. I prefer the black and gray Goyard, but this pink version is pretty, feminine and fun. Now about that fugly fedora…

The transformation is complete: Susan Boyle is carrying a designer handbag. And not just any designer handbag - a Mulberry messenger bag. She’s come long way, huh? I think this is a great purse choice for the singer - she looks comfortable and happy. Surely even Simon Cowell would approve.

oh, it’s Fashion Week time, people! First up is a gorgeous and hip-looking Gwen Stefani, who paired a fun hot pink L.A.M.B. handbag with her cool denim jacket and blue lids as she presented the new L.A.M.B. collection at New York Fashion Week. I think Gwen just keeps getting better with age, and I love the purse’s vibrant hue.

Hello, strangers. It’s so good to see Chris Noth and Sarah Jessica Parker returning to their Carrie and Big alter egos on the set of “Sex and the City 2,” even if they look like they’re having a tiff here. The SATC fashion parade continues, with Sarah suiting up in a pretty blue dress paired with a hot pink Christian Louboutin handbag. Digging the color combo, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

A dominant trend for the Spring 2010 fashion shows has undoubtedly been the comeback of the 1980’s.  Granted, we have been seeing leggings and slouchy tops for awhile, but now the big shoulders and neon colors are seemingly back as well.

For Gwen Stefani, the 1980’s never left, at least not musically.  Her solo music projects and fashion have always paid tribute to the decade.  For this presentation, and return to the NY fashion week scene, the mother/pop singer/designer chose to show an installation, rather than a traditional runway. Ms. Stefani  showed rock n’ roll edged pieces.  Zippers on structured jackets, tights, off-shoulder tops.  Of course, a retrospective of your favorite 80’s bands played in the background.   While the silhouettes stayed in character, the colors avoided the neons of other collections, and stuck to easy to wear black, grey, white and some accessible prints.

What’s the best way to jazz up a basic tee, skinny rolled-up jeans, and flats? A designer handbag, of course. Jessica Alba chose wisely with her dark blue ostrich-skin Salvatore Ferragamo purse, which added a nice dose of color and texture. Just one highlight of Jessica’s many fabulous designer purses!

With her new fall line of Topshop clothes hitting stores, everyone seems to have Kate Moss on the brain. And no wonder…who wouldn’t want to dress like this gal? Kate looks effortlessly chic per usual in a gray blazer and blousy top, paired with a beautiful and suitably edgy Derek Lam gray python clutch. Though python doesn’t sound that versatile, this purse’s dark hue and modern design combine to make it a bag for just about any occasion…provided you don’t have a lot of junk, that is.

Lest you were any doubt that Rihanna was a fan of Alexander Wang (and who isn’t?), the Bajan beauty underlined the fact by stepping out with the designer du jour’s fabulous Daphne Duffle, a simply stunning textured black leather handbag (or carry-on, if you like) with two straps and antiqued brass hardware. The texture really gives the bag some edge, and Rihanna, in her all-black ensemble and fierce gold chains, looks wicked with it.
