What a lucky girl. Not only does beautiful supermodel Miranda Kerr get to go home with British hottie Orlando Bloom (a fella so handsome I even swooned when he had that silly blonde wig in “Lord of the Rings”), but she gets to walk around with a stunning Prada Lace Bowler as well. Color me jealous. This is one of my favorite Prada handbags, because I love the sensual yet mysterious allure of simple black lace - very Madonna! I also love that Miranda paired the purse with a solid pale pink dress; too many prints would have been a bad idea.

Though Gisele Bundchen and husband Tom Brady have yet to confirm rumors that they are expecting a little Patriot, one thing is undeniable: the gal loves her Prada. Gisele took her beloved Prada Cervot Antik purse out for a spin, pairing it with a blousy (ahem) blue polka-dot top and white jeans. Cute outfit, incredible handbag, and one (potentially) genetically blessed baby. What more could you ask for?

The fabulously down-to-earth Kate Winslet reported for mama duty with her two kids (one not shown in photo), and managed to pair her nylon Prada bag with her son’s camo backpack. Everyone always goes on about how Jessica Biel is so lucky to have landed Justin Timberlake, but frankly, I think he’s the lucky one. In addition to having an athletic body that I personally would do some major Vice Versa-style voodoo to trade for, Biel looked absolutely stunning and chic in her camel skirt and blouson top outside Late Night with David Letterman. And though it’s rare to see handbags flashed on the “red carpet,” as it were, I love how Jessica’s decided to complement her outfit with a denim Prada handbag anyway. Though denim purses often fail to entice, the bag’s darker shade and rich brown leather trim keep it looking high-class and high-fashion. Love the look.

Those trend-spotters weren’t kidding when they said that yellow (specifically, marigold yellow) would be the major hue of 2009. Everywhere I turn there’s a bright, sunny handbag in my line of vision. Yellow’s not exactly the most versatile color, but if you’re a fan of its bold power, snagging a designer purse in this cheerful hue could make your summer wardrobe even hotter. A few examples:

“Prada” and “denim” are two words you usually don’t see in the same sentence, and yet, here they are. This blue Prada Vitello Shine Tote boasts denim-effect calf leather and a slew of eye-catching details, such as a hanging gold chain (which can be removed, by the way) and sassy diagonal zips. It’s pretty trendy for Prada, with a youthful spirit that’s sure to win over Hollywood’s reigning teeny-bopper starlets. Proving once again that “High School Musical” money is nothing to sneer at, HSM star Ashley Tisdale hit the airport with a sleek black Prada tote in tow. We’ve all seen Ashley flashing Fendi and Louis Vuitton, but I think the Prada is my favorite of the bunch - it’s got status, but is more versatile for everyday, and has a more sophisticated, grown-up appeal befitting someone who might want to be breaking out of the Disney mold. Thumbs up.

I am loving this delicious shade of metallic blue on this Prada Vitello Daino Tote. It’s hot with all-white, casual blouses and jeans, and is the perfect tote for spring and summer. The color looks a heck of a lot better on this tote than it does on some of the other Prada purses in this season’s new collection. Perhaps it’s the fact that this handbag doesn’t have jewels strewn about, but this one is definitely working for me. The hefty price tag of $1,760 might make me refrain from buying, but I will keep my eyes peeled on the spring and summer sales.
