I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve fawned over a Versace purse. Maybe someone there heard my pleas for something more interesting, because suddenly this Vanitas Embroidered Leather Shoulder Bag showed up on my radar. Absolutely gorgeous in an uplifting shade of blue, it features an unusual design aesthetic that combines the simplicity of quilted leather with the intricacy of a tonal baroque pattern. Not for the first time, I’ve wished it were practical to splurge on a Versace purse. The label’s Triple Medusa Handbag shows Versace at its understated best, somehow giving in to the world of outright luxury with a sort of contained enthusiasm. Well, maybe I wouldn’t go so far as to call anything by Versace boring, per se, but no one can accuse the label’s Signature Leather Shoulder Bag of being exciting, either.
