If there’s one show I look forward to more than any other, it’s Versace. There’s almost way to describe their displays other than “mesmerizing.” This year’s fall/winter collection didn’t disappoint those who anticipated the label’s usual heavy extravagance and over-the-top detailing. The rock ‘n’ roll theme was more than evident, from the generous use of leather and chains to the sexy dresses and cropped fur jackets. Of course, you’d be hard pressed to find bags more ornate than these, too. Just the mere mention of “rocker theme” is enough to send the Versace team into a flurry of action. Feast your eyes on the end results:

I’m absolutely charmed by the Velour Pouchette. A bit more on the gothic side than straight up rock ‘n’ roll, it looks like something that would have fit in rather well on the set of Madonna’s Blond Ambition tour. Given that Versace is so prone to showoff designs, it’s surprising that this bag isn’t bejeweled in some way. Instead, the crosses are patterned in vivid colors over a black backdrop for a slightly more subtle look.

For a more edgy touch, look no further than the Chain Link Crossbody Bag. The silver chain mesh overlay is pretty hot all on its own, but the crystal cross planted smack in the center will really draw some attention. The drawback is the heavily textured chain strap, which, over time, can really kill a shoulder. Trust me.

Making clever use of the colorblock trend, the Two Tone Crocodile Embossed Clutch is a fabulous celebration of brilliant color. The colors are more spring/summer than fall/winter, so I’d grab this at the first sign of warm weather.
