As my mother always says, the old rich dress well. That’s understated elegance. Catherine is overdressed. You can see that when she tries to wear all her gold and diamond jewelry at one time. Remember the picture in Spain where she donned a really nice top which had gold trimmings – and boy, she wore a pair of gold wedge heeled sandals, her gold jewelry oozing out of her body, gold purse, gold bangles. As they say for the new rich, too much too soon.
