Perhaps an homage to the hustle and bustle of London’s Carnaby Street, which all but demands that a woman be prepared with a hefty tote on her shoulder, this Marc Jacobs Large Carnaby Patent Leather Tote is a suitable choice indeed. It is, though, pretty unusual upon closer inspection. You’ll see that what appears standard from afar is actually anything but. From the textured, forest green patent leather to the raffia handles and out-of-nowhere starburst embellishment, it’s kind of a hodgepodge design that just somehow works. It’s not my favorite Marc Jacobs purse in the world, but it’s a worthwhile pick for the woman who is sick and tired of the same ol’, same ol’. Available for $1595 at Net-a-Porter.
