Last weekend, while wandering Manhattan, I happened upon the Marc Jacobs Seventies Satchel and fell in love. I am, as stated before, an unabashed Marc Jacobs worshiper, and this handbag just reaffirms why. It’s a wonderful, mysterious indigo leather, trimmed in a complementing color. The shape is ever so clean and as its name suggests, a bit retro. The hardware is gold and the chain employs the same color leather of the body of the bag. There are three compartments — two zippered and an open center — and the front, magnetic closure pocket that makes a pack rat like me want to fall down and kiss Mr. Jacobs’ feet. At the perfect size for city living, I could not abstain. This little darling followed me home and I like to imagine I look oh-so-city-chic running my errands with it dangling from my arm.
