When I think Betsey Johnson, I don’t usually think of browns and tans (or any color that occurs naturally) and now I can see that’s for good reason. Her Fringe Down crossbody is reminiscent of a loincloth – a glamorous one, no doubt, but a loincloth no less. I do appreciate its small size; a petite crossbody is good for vacation days spent out at a theme park or national preserve, but this one ain’t doin’ it. Betsey, stick to the brights; they’re why we love you. If you love her more subdued side, this bag is $148 at Bloomingdales.
