If you aren’t familiar with Kara Ross, you’re really missing out. The designer practically defines “statement bag” with her incredibly creative collection of arm candy, all beautifully done in exotic materials and often hand-detailed with paint or a luminous jewel. They’re almost too visionary to describe. In the case of Ross’ designs, a picture really is worth a thousand words.

The Celina Clutch is insanely elegant, but because it’s made of gray alligator it manages to retain a certain practicality and sensibility. In fact, you could carry this labordorite gem-accented bag anywhere – even a daytime outing. It’s one of the few bags that moves from day to night with incredible ease.

Possibly my favorite of the entire Kara Ross spring/summer 2012 range, the Urbana Bag puts every other purse out there to shame with its gorgeous python and black onyx design. Notice how it’s very minimal, yet still looks complex and elegant. This is definitely one you’ll want to show off!

Need a little color in your life? Check out the Small Trinity Satchel, a dainty python purse accented by a strong hematite stone at the flap. With hints of lavender adding a little pop to the taupe and cream palette, it’s the perfect choice for spring.
