Paris Haute Couture Week: Armani Prive Spring 2010
| By: Mariana L. | ||

Giorgio Armani must have had a lovely night when he was working on the spring collection for the Armani Prive label. The shimmering runway showed endless variations of the crescent moon. The lunar motif was reflected as an embellishment, as a sculptural detail, a handbag silhouette, a tailoring seam among others. The colors of collection ran from pitch dark black and midnight to ethereal shades of white, silver, pink and grey, as if the clothes were viewed in the different moon phases.
Handbags ranged from various sized oblong clutches, to larger sculpted and gathered clutches that mirrored the curved moon silhouettes of the clothing. There was an occasional purse that literally was shaped like a crescent that dangled off a fine chain. The colors may have seemed basic, but each look brought the simple to sublime.
