Personal Shopper: iPhone Wallets for Kelly
| By: Christina B. | ||
Kelly writes, “My identities are colliding… my geeky side doesn’t mind that the iphone rarely leaves my hand… but the more fashion forward side think that stepping out with at a wallet/clutch in one hand and the iphone in the other displays questionable taste. We all agree that the iphone needs a place (other than stacked precariously on top of the wallet next to the water pitcher on the dining table) to be both accessible and out of the way.
How bad is it? Um… credit card and id attached to phone case with a rubber band. Nowhere for lip gloss. It’s bad, very bad.
My wishlist: something relatively minimalist but unique (thing the love child of Kate Spade and a biker chick); fast access to the iphone; substantial enough to sub out for a full-on purse sometimes; I could care less about a checkbook or photo slots. A strap of some sort is nice but not a requirement.
Any ideas? Weze desperate here in Minneapolis.”
Kelly, here are my suggestions. A few are designed specifically for the iPhone, others just happen to be the right size. If none of these strike your fancy, I suggest finding a clutch with an exterior pocket so that you can grab that call fast instead of having to dig around in a bottomless bag. (Yes, even the tiny ones can be bottomless).

2. Michael Kors Wallet Clutch for iPhone ($80)
3. Cole Haan Small Leather Zip Wallet for iPhone ($130)

Yay! Great choices! The Cole Haan is my favorite–not too far out of the geeky comfort range. But if someone, say, gave me the Coach bag for a holiday gift (hubby? talking to you here!) I wouldn’t be sad about it.
Maybe I need the Fossil in berry, too, for coffee shop lurking days. . . .
Thanks for feeding the purse monster!
