Funny how the least fashionable sport ever (those shoes! those beer bellies!) has inspired thousands of designer handbags. Now Pierre Hardy is presenting his take on the bowler with the Patent and Leather Bowler. True to Pierre Hardy form, the purse features lots of layered leather, although I think that the effect gets lost within this bag’s monochrome brown palette (Hardy’s other handbags, with contrasting piping, appeal to me more). Hardy tries to remedy that by adding patent leather trim for contrast. All in all, it’s a fashion-forward, yet polished and professional, alternative to your standard briefcase or tote.
