Energetic pops of color breathe life into silhouettes that draw inspiration from eras past. That’s the story behind the VBH spring/summer 2013 collection, which sets out to prove that you don’t need to be overly embellished to make a statement!
The Brera 34 Tote is available in a variety of colors (including chalk, white, snake print, orange and green) and different sizes. I’m partial to this deep, oceanic blue that seems especially befitting of the spring season. Made of genuine croc skin, it includes a detachable keychain and detachable shoulder strap. That’s a good thing, since bags like this look especially chic carried by hand.
Splattered with an artful pattern, the Manila G Clutch manages to conceal the fact that it’s made of pure stingray skin. Not that it would be a big highlight anyway – who’s going to know unless they’re some kind of expert? – but the skin does give off a delicate sheen that would be far more appreciable on a lighter colored bag. I really love the brushstroke styling used here – it’s not something you see everyday.
A special night out calls for something equally dynamic. How about something that works during the day, too? The oversized python-skin Prive City Clutch is a great contender that looks smart with a polished black pantsuit early in the day and a sexy sheath after hours. Go all out – this bag will complement almost anything, from a rich jewel tone to a pared-down neutral.
