Handbags by Zac Posen sounds great on paper, doesn’t it? Unfortunately, none of Posen’s purses have really had me reaching for my credit card and wiping drool off my enamored face. Take this Daisy Bag, for example. Available in beige and black or an appropriately autumnal fuchsia, the heavily pleated soft nappa leather purse registers a mere ‘not bad’ for me. The pleated body itself is nice, but the juxtaposition of the smooth, flat, futuristic flap, not to mention the pale chain and woven leather strap, feels unnatural…and a little sci-fi.
