Copious quantities of studs are never good, so one can probably guess what my feelings are on this Sonia Rykiel Chou-Chou Studded Frame Bag. Let’s be honest here, though - the studs are hardly the problem here. Let’s talk about the fact that Rykiel saw fit to attach a miniature purse to a coin purse and pass it off as a bag. It’s a style that isn’t usually addressed by most designers, and with good reason. And though studs typically suggest “rocker chic” in some way or another, they don’t on this purse. I’m too distracted by the placement of the handle and the $1530 price tag. Available at Net-a-Porter.

You can spend all your money on flashy sequins and studs, but the fact of the matter is that there’s quite as timeless or effortlessly chic as a good ol’ pair of blue jeans and a basic white tee. Picking up where James Dean left off, Kirsten Dunst looks terrific in her tee and skinny denim, both nicely fitted and glammed up with white shoes. And I love her messenger bag - rustic, vintage-leaning, and chic without being pretentious. Any guesses as to who the designer is?

A lot of you have mixed feelings about Goyard, but I personally love the French brand’s iconic monogrammed tote. Okay, okay, so I’m not 100% behind Diane Kruger’s ensemble - the green skirt is a distraction - but the bag remains one of my favorites, thanks to its signature racing stripe and peacock-esque print. Its roomy design also makes it great for traveling and shopping (which is what Jonathan Jackson’s gal seems to be doing). Now I just need to buy one.

This Lanvin Pop Leopard Print Clutch appears to be some sort of optical illusion. Stare at it too long and those multicolored leopard spots seem to almost float over the pale blue backdrop. It’s a cool effect that, paired with the more feminine details like satin and a dainty bow, produces a hot, ’80s-inspired design. Net-a-Porter suggests wearing it with clashing neons for a truly retro look; skinnies, a tank, boyfriend jacket and heels offer a more modern approach. Available for $1120 at Net-a-Porter.

Okay, I’m officially jealous of Miley Cyrus. I know when I was her age I was lucky to have a Jansport backpack, never mind a slick Prada purse. Though Prada seems like a grown-up choice for this teeny-bopper, the orange patent delivers a suitably young attitude. It’s playful, yet polished. I also like how Miley’s paired it with more muted neutrals, so the handbag really stands out. You go, girl.

Jessica Alba has really taken to her role as a new mom, toting baby daughter Honor and a very kiddie-oriented present in Beverly Hills. And what’s that serving as an impromptu diaper bag? Why, it’s a Fendi Crossword Bag. Though I’m really not a big fan of the monogrammed interlaced design, it’s certainly more A-list than most diaper bags I’ve seen. Can’t wait for the Prada tricycle.
