All I have to do is see her name and I feel an anticipatory rush of excitement. Designer Nancy Gonzalez is one of my favorites. She’s a champion of exotic materials with elaborate details, always crafting immaculate designs that never fail to impress. The same can be said for her Resort 2015 collection, which includes these must-haves:
When was the last time you saw an animal-skin purse look so fun? I hesitate to heap such heavy praise on bags that I personally wouldn’t carry (I admire from afar, as I’m sure many of us do), but the Crocodile Skin Shoulder Bag has a way of drawing me right in. Its elaborate floral flap is irresistible. Take a close look at those flowers – the detail is impeccable, and the chunky chain strap lends the bag a strong, confident air.
I’m inspired to spend resort season in Spain, enjoying flamenco with a rose pinned in my hair. Obviously I will be fanning myself with the lovely Skin and Raffia Clutch, which is made of a combination of croc skin and raffia. The laser-cut workmanship allows the earthy backdrop to stand out, making the bag even more exquisite.
Even Gonzalez isn’t immune to the backpack trend, but she approaches the look in soft, girlish fashion. The Crocodile Skin Pouch is beautiful in a shade of powdery blush, and bears the appearance of the designer’s signature material. Tonal drawstrings and straps give it a chic, uniform look – just what you’d expect of Gonzalez.
