This PVC confection is decorated with a dainty bow and finished with the label’s logo. Even without that, a keen eye would be able to recognize it as a Baker masterpiece. Cute! If you’ve been suffering from some sort of seasonal malaise, this pretty bag should shake it right out of your system. It’s more of a vibrant fuchsia – the kind that pink lovers will fall in love with over and over again. I don’t know if I’d call this a drawback, exactly, but I would have loved this with an interior divider. It’s so spacious that a little organization would have really kept things in check. I do love See by Chloe, whose bags are more attractive and more reasonably priced than the main line. The Suzie Leather Messenger Bag represents well what I love most about the label. This is a classic, simple bag by all accounts – the shape is almost old-fashioned, the color epitomizes demure and it ticks all the boxes where practicality is concerned. Yet it feels a little hip and posh too, maybe because of the rosy hardware and cute bow lock. It’s just the modern touch this bag requires. Available for $495 at Net-a-Porter.

This BCBGeneration Nadia Snake Emboss Crush Bag is the cutest of the cute, and if it weren’t $78 I’d probably snag one for myself and my favorite mini style mavens. Alas, it’s more of a grown-up gal’s bag, and it’s perfect for adding a sassy little finish to a cute party dress. Available at Zappos.
As far back as I can remember, backpacks weren’t nearly as stylish when I was in school. Take every opportunity to accessorize by adding this MCM Backpack to your collection. It’s made of durable coated canvas, but I doubt you’ll be leaving this bag on the cafeteria floor. The studded detail is on trend, and undeniably girly in pink. When wristlets get on your nerves and a case of separation anxiety kicks in to effect the moment you can’t reach your phone, why not try a phone purse? It’s a strange concept, but it’s practical. A structured, leather-covered frame protects your phone, a logo-engraved push-lock safely seals the purse shut, and the long, thin strap is understated enough to work with your outfit instead of overpowering it.
The only caveat I see is the polka dot pattern. Such bold metal dots make the purse look more like a costume piece.
I’ve never really had much use for bags so compact that they appear to be masquerading as cell phone cases, but I’m definitely a sucker for most things Milly. Maybe that’s why the label’s Madison Shagreen Minaudiere appeals to me so much. I’ve never been a big Dooney & Bourke fan, but every now and then the label produces something that I find sweet or at least moderately appealing. The Hydrangea Small Barrel Shoulder Bag somehow falls into both categories. It’s kind of petite and girly, and it features a harmless, somewhat plain floral print that still manages to look acceptably attractive. Might make a cute choice for Mother’s Day.
