Valentino Fleur Patent Bag

Black roses are typically symbolic of darkness and dreariness. Perhaps Valentino is trying to change things with the new Fleur Patent Bag. This eye-catching purse is adorned with black rosettes crafted of patent leather, suede and python. They line the top of the pleated patent bag in a clean line, creating a sort of dainty look that’s really quite unexpected. At the same time, it has a goth vibe and probably won’t win points across the fashion board. Available to pre-order for $1395 at Neiman Marcus.

This wonderful handbag has an “Audrey” appeal. It is very well made and I can remember my mother having a black patent clutch when I was in the fifth grade that I certainly wish we had held on to. It would be stunning to carry today. Black Patent is classic and easy to care for. It does not look goth. These flew out of the store. I hesitated thinking it was too large for my small frame. Saks had to track one down for me in Vegas. It is a great bag for power lunches or cocktails.
Good luck finding this one. It was also Valentino’s last Season at the Helm. Farwell. Bravo.
